Belmond’s collection of luxurious properties is set to make waves this summer with an array of exciting developments across Europe, each offering a unique blend of cultural richness, artistic flair, and culinary excellence.

In the shimmering waters of the Mediterranean, Sardinia’s original beach hideaway, Romazzino, A Belmond Hotel, Costa Smeralda, is poised to welcome guests once again. Following a multi-phased renovation, the hotel is set to redefine luxury with its stunning architecture, private pools, and a new array of restaurants and bars that promise to tantalise the taste buds with the best of Sardinian produce.

Art enthusiasts will be delighted as Belmond continues its collaboration with Galleria Continua to host the MITICO art series. This year, the project expands its horizons, showcasing the work of renowned French artist Daniel Buren across multiple Belmond properties, from the historic canals of Venice to the vibrant streets of Rio de Janeiro.

Over in Tuscany, Castello di Casole, A Belmond Hotel, is introducing two new private villas that pay homage to the region’s rich Etruscan heritage. Guests can immerse themselves in the farm-to-table philosophy, exploring expanded vegetable gardens and participating in traditional Tuscan cooking classes. The hotel also offers exclusive access to the medieval spectacle of Il Palio di Siena, providing a unique vantage point to witness this historic horse-riding tournament.

The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, A Belmond Train, Europe, is set to embark on its inaugural journey from Paris to the picturesque Ligurian coast, culminating in a stay at Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino. Here, guests can indulge in a tasting menu by the legendary train’s French Chef, Jean Imbert, and enjoy cinema under the stars in the town’s iconic Piazzetta.

In Mallorca, La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel, Mallorca, is once again inviting artists to join its ‘Artists in Residencia’ programme, in collaboration with Galleria Continua. The selected artists will have the opportunity to create and exhibit their work in this serene mountainside enclave, surrounded by an impressive collection of local art.

Reid’s Palace, A Belmond Hotel, Madeira, is introducing its new Executive Chef, José Diogo Costa, to lead the Michelin-starred William Restaurant. With a focus on extraordinary local ingredients and innovative culinary techniques, the restaurant is set to continue its legacy of excellence. The hotel is also unveiling Brisa do Mar, a new dining venue offering Portuguese and Mediterranean delights.

On the Amalfi Coast, Caruso, A Belmond Hotel, is embracing its UNESCO-recognised gastronomic tradition, La Dieta Mediterranea, through a partnership with the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano. Guests can learn about sustainable farming practices and enjoy tailor-made wellness experiences, all while soaking in the breathtaking views from the hotel’s infinity pool.

In Taormina, Grand Hotel Timeo and Villa Sant’Andrea, both Belmond hotels, are partnering with the Taormina Film Festival for its 70th anniversary. Guests can look forward to cinematic screenings in the hotels’ picturesque settings, accompanied by themed dinners that celebrate Italian film classics.
